Singing Christmas carols in the foyer of the Warrnambool Base Hospital yesterday was one of a number of recent performances for the choir, which is revelling in spreading Christmas cheer.
The choir recently sang at a Probus club and on Friday will sing at the Mortlake town carols in Market Square.
Choir leader Kath Tanner said the group was popular among college students with nearly a quarter of the student body, 64, involved in yesterday’s performance, its third at the hospital.
Ms Tanner said the choir’s repertoire included a variety of music genres including covers of rock songs.
“This (the Christmas performances) is a celebration of what they have learnt throughout the year. They all love it,” Ms Tanner said.
Students volunteer to sing in the choir and rehearse fortnightly throughout most of the year, stepping up to weekly rehearsals in the lead-up to Christmas.
