Reverend tunes up for Carols

BAPTIST reverend David Hodgens has been asked to lend his voice to a choir but he might leave Carols by Candlelight to the professionals.

It might take a prayer to keep skies clear for carols at the Civic Green on December 20, organised by Warrnambool’s churches.

“It kicks off at 6.30pm with family activities and games and 7.30 is the time for the formal carols program,” he said.

Popular carols will again be performed by Melbourne’s David and Rosanna Palmer and soloist Ray Chee.

“This year we’ve also got a large choir made up of people from around the Warrnambool community,” Mr Hodgens said. “If it’s a good night we’re expecting 600 to 800 people.”
