Representatives from South West TAFE will be available to discuss how they plan to finish their tenure at the site and also consider other opportunities available for people wanting to complete agricultural studies in the region.
The TAFE will end its association with Glenormiston in March and instead deliver its agricultural and horticulture courses through a blended model made up of on-the-job, off-campus and online delivery.
Corangamite Shire mayor Chris O’Connor said the forum would allow public discussion of future uses of the site.
“Glenormiston College has a proud history of providing agricultural training in the region and as a council we consider the site to be a highly valued asset,” Cr O’Connor said.
“Any ideas or suggestions provided at the forum will be forwarded to the Minister for Higher Education and Skills for consideration, should no alternative education provider be found for the site.”
The forum will be held at Glenormiston College on Glenormiston Road, Noorat, on Monday, December 16 at 10.30am.
