A pod of whales visit Port Fairy.
While most Port Fairy residents found yesterday’s weather far from beach-worthy, a pod of whales off East Beach appeared to indulge in the icy conditions.
Six whales embraced the choppy water, providing entertainment for those watching from the safety of their cars.
Their presence renewed hope in what has been a slow whale-watching season so far.
