Gumboot throwing is a timely new feature this year for the annual Koroit Agricultural and Pastoral Show with wet weather on the cards.
Other new attractions include free circus dog entertainment and fun roving entertainers to keep the kids occupied.
Show secretary Lynette Watson said she was excited about the new entertainment.
“Every year we are looking for something different and a variety of activities for everyone,” Mrs Watson said.
Highlights include the popular ferret cup, spud picking competitions and the Victorian Home Brew Championships with many prizes up for grabs.
The Beaut Ute Competition returns, along with truck and car exhibits and a greater variety of agricultural machinery on display for the farmers.
Equestrian events and cattle, sheep and poultry entries are back in the traditional agricultural sections.
All-day live music, showbags, rides and food stalls will also be among the attractions.
The cookery, arts and crafts competitions are a favourite among the locals, along with a showcase of school artworks.
Mrs Watson said the event was great for families and young people.
“It’s great to catch up with everyone and let the kids run around.”
Gates open from 6am at Victoria Park.
