A night of fun, pampering and prizes is expected for the second annual Girls Night Out in Warrnambool.
Preparations are under way for tomorrow night’s Leila Rose Foundation fund-raiser with entertainment from comedian Rosa Waxoffski and actress and singer Marney McQueen.
After the success of last year’s event, Leila Rose Foundation founding director Tracy Chow said the fund-raiser would be bigger and better than last year.
“This year we’ve got the Pure Chica Pamper Rooms from Melbourne,” she said.
“Tickets are selling fast.
“We’ve been working hard for months.
“It’ll be bigger than last year. We’ve got more entertainment. We’ve had great support from the community.”
More than $13,000 was raised last year and all money raised will support families of children with rare forms of cancer, for everyday expenses and medical help.
The event will be held at Warrnambool’s Wannon Park Raceway and also includes tarot card readings, raffles, giveaways and greyhound racing.
The Leila Rose Foundation was set up in memory of Warrnambool toddler Leila Rose Chow, who died aged 21 months in 2010 after being diagnosed with rhabdoid tumour.
Tickets cost $70 and include a two-course meal, Chica Pamper Rooms, complimentary drink, entertainment and prizes. For tickets phone 5561 2766.
