EVER since Jasi James was a toddler she’s been getting into her mum’s make-up, high heels and dresses.
From a young age, Jasi would walk around the house posing and performing, her mother Tarah James said.
Although the six-year-old also loves swimming, boxing and ballet, she’s found a real passion for pageants.
At a recent competition in Melbourne Jasi brought home a serious collection of crowns.
The Warrnambool Primary School pupil was crowned the ultimate grand supreme contestant. She was also first in her age group for the formal and casual sections and second in her age group in the theme section.
“The theme section was a 1980s theme and Jasi danced to Hey Mickey,” Mrs James said.
Jasi competed in her first pageant late last year and said she’d made lots of friends at the competitions.
“We get to dance against people,” Jasi said. “I was always into beauty stuff.”
“When she was two she wanted to wear dresses all the time,” Mrs James added.
“She’s always been like it.”
The day before the Melbourne pageant Jasi and her family flew to Sydney for the Australian Royalty Pageant in which she was second in her age group for the formal section and first runner-up for her age section.
