A GARDEN at Crossley will open tomorrow to support a bank with a difference.
Donna Daly is inviting visitors to stroll through the grounds of her property to raise funds for Warrnambool’s Wig Bank.
Mrs Daly and her four sisters organised the event as a show of support for their mother Josie Kelly, who is undergoing chemotherapy and uses the wig service.
Her daughter Liz Noonan said the bank was easy for her to access and its volunteers helpful.
“Most importantly, it only cost mum $50 for a deposit on the wig, which is refundable when it is returned,” Ms Noonan said.
“Each wig can cost $100 to $500 depending on style.
“These ladies work tirelessly to provide for the community and we would like to give back to them by raising funds.”
The garden, at 333 Koroit-Port Fairy Road, will open from 10am to 4pm, with a $5 entry fee for adults.
