A BALLARAT district man was arrested on five warrants after he came to the attention of Port Campbell police last Friday.
Michael Tudgley, also known as Michael Lucas, 21, of Duggan Street, Black Hill, appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court yesterday for a remand hearing.
Solicitor Amanda Chambers yesterday applied for the matter to be adjourned until today when it is likely the case will be finalised.
Mr Tudgley has been charged with unlawful assault, assault with a weapon, breaching a good behaviour bond, resisting police, careless driving, a learner driver not accompanied by an experienced driver, failing to remain at the scene of an accident and multiple counts of failing to appear on bail.
He came to the attention of police after an incident at the Port Campbell Hotel on Friday and was found to be staying at the Port Campbell Caravan Park.
Police discovered Mr Tudgley had five outstanding warrants and he was arrested. It will be alleged Mr Tudgley has failed to appear in court when required a number of times.
Ms Chambers did not apply for bail. Mr Tudgley was remanded in custody overnight and will appear in court today.
