A west highland terrier was killed and another seriously injured when they were attacked by a stray Staffordshire bull terrier cross-breed in the Port Fairy home of their owner.
A spokesman for Moyne Shire said the attack happened on Jehu Street, on October 5.
The male west highland terrier was killed and the female seriously injured.
Reports said the female terrier needed more than 30 stitches for her wounds.
A Moyne Shire ranger was called and the attacking dog euthanised.
