YOUNG people from around the region united for some fun and music with organisers of the South West Unite concert planning to be back bigger and better next year.
The second annual concert was held on Friday night with young people coming from as far as Hamilton and Noorat.
Co-organiser Amanda Atwell said the purpose of the event was to teach and encourage kids about God.
“It’s good that people came from different church groups,” Ms Atwell said.
“They got to know other kids who believe in the same thing and love God.
“So many kids were really excited and interested and wanted to honour God with their lives.”
The event was organised by Naringal Baptist Church, Warrnambool Baptist Church, Warrnambool Presbyterian Church, the Salvation Army, Gateway Church of Christ and New Life Christian Church.
Ms Atwell said preparations had already begun for next year’s event.
“We’d like it to be known that it’s not just for church kids,” she said.
“It’s a drug and alcohol-free event to teach kids in the community to make better decisions.”
