POLICE have recovered a station wagon stolen from Colac which was dumped by the alleged thief in the Dartmoor area.
The green Holden station wagon was stolen on September 27 and police issued a general alert for people to be on the lookout for the vehicle with the registration plate SZF-692.
The alleged offender was arrested in Dartmoor, but he told police officers he couldn’t remember where he dumped the vehicle.
Heywood policeman Ser-geant Jason von Tunk said yesterday the station wagon had been located in a pine plantation off Radiata Road, Dartmoor.
A Colac man has been charged with theft of vehicle and unlicensed driving. He will appear in the Colac Magistrates Court on December 9 after allegedly making admission to his offending.
