THIRD-YEAR student Nicole Nash will be more than happy to tell people what she loves about studying at Deakin University in Warrnambool tomorrow.
The campus is holding an open day and Ms Nash is one of five students appointed as ambassadors to help prospective students “Discover Deakin”.
The third-year marine biology student said she was looking forward to the open day.
“The small class sizes are fantastic; you really get to know your lecturers and can work closely with them,” she said of the campus.
“The location of the Hopkins River is pretty good too,” she said.
Deakin University brought in the student ambassadors to give interested young people a “peer-to-peer perspective” of what it’s like to study at the Warrnambool campus.
Coming from Geelong, Ms Nash said her experiences might also be useful to prospective students who would have to relocate to study at Warrnambool.
Aside from the five student ambassadors, staff will also be on hand tomorrow to answer questions about courses and campus life.
The Discover Deakin session runs from 10am-11.30am.
