WARRNAMBOOL police are calling for witnesses to a hit and run accident which left a vehicle badly damaged in Whites Road this morning.
A Toyota Yaris parked on a nature strip received extensive damage to the rear driver side after it was run into by another vehicle.
Sergeant Andrew McOrist, of Warrnambool police, said the collision happened after 6.35am.
"The parked vehicle was in Whites Road. It is believed the offending vehicle was a blue sedan, possibly a Commodore," he said.
"It is expected that the offending vehicle has suffered extensive damage to the front left side," he said.

Thieves at Portland have also this morning netted cigarettes valued at an estimated $600 from the Woolworths petrol station in Tyers Street.
Detective Sergeant Steve Brown, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said the petrol station office was broken into between 1.55am and 2.05am.
He said offenders got in via an air conditioning unit and made their way through plaster sheeting before stealing a quantity of cigarettes.
Detective Sergeant Brown said a roller door to the cigarettes storage area was also damaged.
