Dennington onballer Jono Nevill will play in tomorrow's Warrnambool and District league grand final.
An AFL Victoria Country appeal panel tonight found Nevill not guilty of striking Kolora-Noorat captain Jonathon Gleeson in the preliminary final last Saturday.
An independent tribunal, chaired by Terry O'Keefe, had initially suspended him for two matches for the strike at a hearing in Warrnambool on Wednesday night.
But Nevill lodged an appeal and, with renowned AFL player advocate Iain Findlay on his side, had his name cleared at a hastily convened hearing at Melbourne's Visy Park.
The verdict means he is free to take on Panmure in the blockbuster at Reid Oval tomorrow. Young forward Matt O'Rourke will drop out of the Dogs' side.
