IT’S safe to say Steve and Lindsey Pedley will return to Warrnambool.
The Somerville couple recently became the 300,000th guests at Flagstaff Hill’s Shipwrecked sound and laser show.
Mr and Mrs Pedley won a night’s accommodation at the Lighthouse Lodge, dinner at the Steam Packet Inn and a hamper.
“We were completely shocked and surprised,” Mrs Pedley said. “It’s my first time in Warrnambool. We’ve really enjoyed it. It was a quiet break, we certainly didn’t expect to have our photos in the paper.”
Mr Pedley said the sound and laser show was excellent.
“We were blown away,” he said. “We don’t ever win anything.”
Flagstaff Hill tourism services manager Peter Abbott said to reach the milestone was fantastic.
“It’s 300,000 people staying in Warrnambool overnight and spending money in the town,” he said.
Mr Abbott said in the last financial year there had been 3360 dinner and show packages which helped to generate overnight stays.
