KOROIT police are seeking public assistance after the theft of 32 drums of the weed killer Roundup from the Moyne Shire depot.
Senior Constable David Rook said the 20-litre drums of the expensive chemical were taken from an unlocked shed at the Koroit depot in High Street.
"The Roundup was taken some time in July and is valued at a total of $4480 or $140 each. The shire had to check records and see how many they ordered and how many have been used before the theft was reported to police," he said.
"It has now been determined the Roundup was definitely stolen. Anyone with information about the theft is requested to contact the Koroit police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Information will be treated confidentially," he said.
