IF knowledge is power, small businesses in the Portland area will soon be a force to be reckoned with.
A forthcoming seminar will provide small businesses with relevant, reliable and affordable information on financial management, Premier and member for South West Coast Denis Napthine has announced.
Dr Napthine said the Improving Cash Flow and Profitability seminar would be held at Quest Serviced Apartments in Portland at 6pm on September 18.
“This is a great initiative which I totally support,” Dr Napthine said. “It gives local small business operators tremendous access to what could be great financial marketing information to assist them to operate more effectively and more profitably.”
Last year more than 3000 businesses throughout the state participated in Small Business Victoria’s workshops and seminars.
Through the program, businesses and prospective business owners are provided with the facts and advice needed to make informed decisions and create a platform for ongoing success.
Popular topics in the program include starting up, financial management, employing people and marketing.
All workshops and seminars are delivered by private sector business specialists.
