WARRNAMBOOL Rangers are today celebrating the Ballarat and District Soccer Association league title.
The Rangers side defeated Vic Park 3-0 at Jones Oval to wrap up top spot on the division one ladder and claim the honour.
They started the day with 48 points, two ahead of second-placed Ballarat, and ensured there would be no last-round slip-up with a comfortable win.
Corrie Shields connected with Nick van Rooy's long throw-in to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead before Martin van Rooy made it 2-0 before half-time by capitalising on a goal-mouth scramble.
Josh Bourke slotted the third shortly after the interval, after some stellar lead-up work from Dylan Johnstone, to all but wrap up the points.
The Rangers will take on Ballarat in a qualifying final on Sunday in week one of the finals series, hoping to cap off the league title with the championship.
