AN elderly woman smashed three vehicles as she attempted to leave a Warrnambool sports reserve car park on Saturday.
The 91-year-old’s mayhem started when she was reversing out of a parking bay near the Warrnambool Football Netball Club rooms off Cramer Street.
Constable Tim Brosowsky said it appeared the woman hit the accelerator too hard. Her 1989 Nissan Pulsar sedan raced backwards about 30 metres across a median strip and into a utility.
She stopped for about a minute then accelerated forward and hit another utility. He said the collisions were heard by spectators at nearby Reid Oval.
The utes received minor damage, but her car was extensively dented and had to be towed away.
