The Roosters emerged triumphant from an entertaining and hard fought match with a 12-point win, 10.10 (70) to 9.4 (58)..
The margin was even closer than the score line showed with the Roosters' last goal of the day going through as the final siren sounded.
It wasn't all bad for Cobden though.
The club now has a matching pair of Hampden under 14 premiership flags to hang in its club rooms.
The young Bombers made it back-to-back premierships when they defeated North Warrnambool Eagles by 27 points in the grand final at Koroit's Victoria Park yesterday, 7.4 (46) to 3.1 (19).
The win capped off a perfect finals series for the Bombers who completed a hat trick of wins to claim the flag.
They defeated the Eagles in the qualifying final and then the previously undefeated Koroit in the second semi final en route to the season decider.
Their memorable finals series was topped of with a big grand final victory after they finished runners up in 2010 and 2011.
