ONE lane of the Great Ocean Road east of Port Campbell remains closed after a landslip last week.
Speeds limits have also been reduced to 40 km/h on the section of road and motorists are advised to allow extra time when planing their journey.
A VicRoads spokeswoman said a complex assessment was expected to be completed by the end of this week.
"VicRoads will then develop a scope for permanent repair works," The spokeswoman said.
"To ensure the safety of motorists, the Great Ocean Road will remain open to traffic, however reduced to one lane and managed by traffic signals.
"VicRoads reminds motorists to obey all roadwork signs and speed limits."
