Kolora-Noorat enjoys goal feast at Deakin's expense

THERE were plenty of goals to go around for Kolora-Noorat during the Power's 186-point win over Deakin University at Mortlake on Saturday.

The Power had nine goalkickers in their 32-goal tally for the game with Luke Kenna leading the way with eight.

Fellow forwards Mark Clissold and Sam Moloney also had big days out with five each while Tim Clissold slotted through four .

The Sharks kicked just three goals for the day with all of those coming in the first half.

Kolora-Noorat coach Ben Kenna said his side enjoyed the opportunity to play on the wide expanses of the Mortlake ground.

"It's a big ground and the surface was a bit firmer so the players were pretty happy to play there," Kenna said.

This week the Power return to their home turf at Noorat to take on the Timboon Demons in a big game for both clubs.

The Demons need to win to hold onto fifth place on the ladder while the Power needs to win to stay in the top three.

It looms as a danger game for the Power who lost to the Demons by 33 points in round four.

It doesn't get any easier for the Sharks who will travel to Mortlake this week to face up to Merrivale and they will need to improve drastically to avoid another heavy loss.
