COBDEN footballer Rueben Dare will come under investigation for an incident in the Bombers’ win against North Warrnambool Eagles on June 30.
The Hampden league yesterday said it had appointed investigations officer Chris Asenjo to look into the incident.
North Warrnambool Eagles requested the investigation.
Officials at the league, Cobden and North Warrnambool Eagles were tight-lipped about the investigation yesterday.
But The Standard understands Dare is under investigation for an incident involving Eagle Aiden Long in the fourth quarter.
Dare received a yellow card and Long left the field clutching his ribs, but the controlling umpire did not file a report.
Asenjo has 21 days to complete his investigation and make a recommendation to the league.
