A WOMAN is likely to be charged with drink driving after the death of a man in a Warrnambool driveway early Sunday.
Today police said their investigations into the death, which happened just after midnight, were continuing.
Senior Sergeant Shane Keogh said a woman was interviewed by police and was assisting their inquiries.
The 38-year-old, who was the man's estranged partner, had come to collect him from an Aitkens Road residence.
Senior Sergeant Keogh said the woman had driven into the driveway, not realising the man was lying on the ground.
A child was in the car at the time of the incident.
SES and CFA attended the scene with paramedics who unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate the man.
"It was confronting for everyone, to the point where the vehicle had to be lifted off the man," Senior Sergeant Keogh said.
"It's a tragic incident that affects all involved."
Senior Sergeant Keogh said the woman would be charged with exceeding .05 blood alcohol level.
