A HAMILTON man was lucky to escape uninjured after he was forced to swerve to miss cows on the Penshurst Warrnambool Road.
Police said the Subaru sedan was extensively damaged on Tuesday night at Hawkesdale
An off-duty policeman attended the scene around midnight and anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the cows on the road should call Hamilton police.
In a separate incident police are investigating a crash in McArthur Street in Hamilton between 11.30pm and midnight on Tuesday.
Police said the woman was driving a white Mitsubishi sedan when she ran off the road and hit a concrete letter box.
The car was towed from the scene.
