WARRNAMBOOL gallopers Spirit Song and King Cotton scored impressive wins at Moonee Valley on Friday night when more than 25,000 people packed the course to see the mighty mare Black Caviar win her 24th consecutive race.
Spirit Song won the group 2 $250,000 Sunline Stakes for the second year, defeating Light of Heaven in the 1600 metre race.
The Merv McKenzie-trained King Cotton got up in the last stride to beat Vatican in a $55,000 race over 975 metres.
