TWO farm properties in the Newfield area, north of Port Campbell, were burgled on the weekend, the thieves escaping with an estimated $110,000 worth of goods.
Detective Senior Constable Elissa Smith, of the Warrnambool police crime investigation unit, said both burglaries happened overnight Saturday.
She said a shed was entered at one property and a $8000 lawn mower, a chainsaw valued at $1000 and golf clubs worth $1000 stolen.
“In the second burglary there was a mountain bike valued at $100 and a $700 compressor stolen from a dairy,” she said.
“Anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Newfield area on Saturday night/Sunday morning is requested to contact the Warrnambool police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
