MARITIME archaeologist Peta Knott will be in Warrnambool tomorrow to offer free advice on how to care for historic nautical artefacts.
Museums Australia has selected Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village to host the workshop from 10am to 1pm, showing how to handle and manage treasures from the sea.
Warrnambool City Council tourism services manager Peter Abbott said the event was open to anyone who owned or worked with shipwreck artefacts or simply wanted to learn more.
“Many in our region are custodians of this rich heritage and the workshop aims to provide advice on their care,” he said.
