A WARRNAMBOOL motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a shoulder injury after he was involved in a collision with a four-wheel-drive wagon near Cobden on Tuesday.
Sergeant Heather Morris, of Cobden police, said the Yamaha motorbike ridden by a 22-year-old was following the Toyota four-wheel-drive station wagon on Cross Forest Road at 3.20pm.
She said the woman indicated she was turning right into Hallyburtons Road, slowed down and was in the process of turning when the rider attempted to overtake her vehicle on the right.
The motorbike was extensively damage. There was panel damage to the car but the driver was not injured.
The rider was taken to the Warrnambool Base Hospital for treatment.
He was issued with a penalty notice for overtaking on the right of a turning vehicle, which is a $282 fine and the loss of two demerit points.
