A GROUP of friends will come together over high tea to help raise money for Timboon’s young cancer patient Bailey Delaney.
Lauren Parsons, Edwina Hayes and Alli Couch are calling on the community to help through a Ladies’ Luncheon on Sunday, April 14.
Bailey, 7, has been diagnosed with a rare soft-tissue cancer extending into his bone marrow, known as advanced alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.
Ms Parsons said the friends decided to help after they learnt that the treatment which Bailey has been undergoing for the past 16 months hasn’t worked. “It just made us feel sick,” she said,
“It must be so emotionally and physically draining.” Ms Parson said all money raised would go to the Delaney family.
The women are now calling for donations from local businesses in the form of cash, goods or services for raffle prizes to help make the event at the Wannon Rooms in Warrnambool a success.
Tickets are available from Mix Fashion and Pitstop Menswear in Warrnambool, Jojo’s Timboon, McDowall’s Friendly Grocer IGA Nullawarre, Cobden Country Gifts and Sweets, Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre and 12 Rocks Cafe and Bar Port Campbell.
