The Grampians open for visitors after fires

TOURISTS are being encouraged to head back to the Grampians National Park after summer bushfires were brought under control.

“We encourage people to come and check out these areas as they reopen,” Parks Victoria ranger-in-charge David Roberts said.

“Halls Gap, Wartook and Dunkeld are open and welcoming visitors."

Major walks, waterfalls and sites  including  Reeds Lookout, Mackenzie Falls, Boroka Lookout, the Pinnacle, Hollow Mountain, Mt Stapylton, Mt Abrupt and the Picaninny were also open but remote areas in the south-west remained closed.
