Jewellery stolen from unlocked Camperdown house

JEWELLERY  was stolen from an unlocked Camperdown district farmhouse on the weekend.

A female occupant arrived home yesterday to find her ring, watch and bracelet with an estimated value of $200 had been taken.

Meanwhile, a palm tree on Cliff Street, Portland, was set alight by vandals on Friday night.

Firefighters doused the flames while police controlled traffic.

The following night, police were called to a residence in Bolwarra Court, where the rear window of a car and a window of the house were smashed. Damage is estimated at $700.
