CRICKETERS embraced pink on the weekend, with more than $4000 raised for the McGrath Foundation.
Camperdown’s Paula Atkins said teams from Camperdown, Simpson and Bookaar turned out in pink and looked fantastic.
“It was very heart-warming and very humbling,” she said.
“The cricketers did not hesitate to be a part of it. It went very well.”
Mrs Atkins said there was also support from St Patrick’s Primary School and Mercy Regional College in Camperdown.
“We raised far more than I expected,” she said.
“There was incredible support from shops and businesses.”
Mrs Atkins said the proceeds would go towards breast care nurses. The Pink Stumps Day is a national event supporting the McGrath Foundation.
