The store will today host a barbecue, a ‘guess the orange lolly’ raffle, an orange dress-up day and take donations to help raise funds for the Warrnambool Base Hospital and Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food.
The store has already raised $30,600 for the hospital, Jamie Oliver’s Ministry of Food and other community organisations through the chain’s Local Giving Program.
The $30,600 was part of a $5 million fund-raising milestone recently reached by the Good Guys Local Giving Program throughout Australia.
The program is run in partnership with The Good Guys Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that enables a percentage from every transaction made at The Good Guys to be donated to local community organisations.
Today’s celebrations, called “Big Five for Five”, marks the $5 million milestone reached by the Good Guys Local Giving Program.
Jason Morley, from the Warrnambool Good Guys store, said the Good Guys’ partners worked tirelessly to deliver support to the community when they need it the most.
