TWO accidental fires at the same time in the Framlingham region kept fire crews busy yesterday.
The first blaze was believed to have been started by a tractor on a property along Occupation Lane, south-east of Framlingham, around 2pm.
Five tankers attended and had the fire under control within 20 minutes, by which time it had burnt out about one hectare.
At the same time, a fire was caused by a power pole in front of a house on Rundells Lane, north of Framlingham.
Three tankers attended and brought the blaze under control within about half an hour.
Powercor also attended.
A large number of fire trucks also went to a fire along Castle Carey Road around 7pm on Tuesday.
Twenty-four crews attended the blaze, which was moving quickly with a large front through long grass.
The large response brought the fire under control within 45 minutes, after it had burnt about 20 hectares. The fire began as a roadside burn-off that got away as winds increased.
