Former Warrnambool woman on armed robbery charges

A WOMAN arrested in Warrnambool  has been charged with armed robbery and remanded in custody until next week.

Katherine Revill, 34, previously of Merrivale Drive, Warrnambool, has been charged with armed robbery and was earlier this week remanded in custody until next Wednesday.

Police allege she and her partner were involved in the armed robbery of a Dandenong milk bar on January 7 this year.

The couple is alleged to have demanded cash from a 15-year-old shop assistant.

The alleged co-offender is accused of producing a knife and menacing the shop assistant while Ms Revill demanded money.

Witnesses claim Ms Revill’s nine-year-old daughter was left in a  car parked near the milk bar when the offence was committed.

Ms Revill was arrested on Friday last week and a represented bail application commenced in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court but was adjourned part-heard.

That hearing reconvened on Tuesday when the bail application was withdrawn.

Magistrate Jonathan Klestadt remanded Ms Revill in custody to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on  February 13 when another bail application is expected to be made.

Ms Revill will be assessed before her next court date after she admitted to having a prior history of using drugs.

Officers of the Victoria Police armed robbery Embona Task Force charged Ms Revill and continue to be in charge of the case.
