Work begins next week on new space to play in Cobden

WORK will begin on the Cobden playspace next week after design plans were finalised.

Corangamite Shire recreation officer Jarrod Woff said there had been lot of positive feedback received while the designs were on public display.

The final blueprint includes an additional sand backhoe and panels for the junior play area which include a mirror, puzzle game and steering wheel.

“We are also installing upgraded fitness equipment,  including an ab-hip swinger and stepper for parents to utilise while watching the children play,” Mr Woff said.

Following initial designs, the project steering committee reviewed and identified a need for fitness equipment that suited the needs of the community.

Mr Woff said after months of planning the project steering committee was excited by the impending construction phase.
