A late night chopper heard over Port Fairy on Monday night was an air ambulance training exercise.
UPDATE: A HELICOPTER heard flying over Port Fairy late on Monday was an Ambulance Victoria training flight.
The flight was a mystery to concerned residents who contacted The Standard until this morning, with Port Fairy police unable to explain the noisy flyover at 11pm, and Ambulance Victoria holding no record of rescues or medical emergencies in the area.
Witness reports indicate the helicopter was seen above the Port Fairy township and flying low to the east near the golf course.
