Highway truck rollover slows Warrnambool traffic for seven hours

TRAFFIC on Warrnambool's Raglan Parade was affected for about seven hours this morning after a truck rolled over at the Laverock Road intersection.

The prime mover carrying rubbish tipped over around 4am, causing both west-bound lanes of Raglan Parade to be blocked, as well as one east-bound lane.

Fellow employees from the waste disposal company attended the scene to clear the general waste from the prime mover before it could be righted.

Acting Sergeant Rachell Field of Warrnambool police said it appeared the truck had been attempting to turn when it ended up on its side, but police were still investigating.

She said the truck was tarped, which had limited the amount of mess the accident caused.
