Police hosed down a tense domestic siege situation yesterday in Colac
after a man doused a house with petrol and threatened to set it alight.
An hour after officers were called to the Queen Street address he came out and gave himself up.
Last night he was still at Colac police station being questioned and was expected to be charged.
Sergeant Carl Bolton said police negotiators from Melbourne were called, but were cancelled when the drama ended. “It was a tense situation,” he said.
