Second fire strikes parish house

A parish house in Brunswick may have been the target of a second suspicious fire, the latest on Christmas eve.

Police are investigating the small fire which started in the alcove of the residential premises attached to a church on Sydney Road just after midnight.

It was the second fire to have occurred at the site, the first being on December 19.

The latest fire was extinguished by the 69-year-old parish priest, who was in the house at the time.
