Most have been for under $1000, regional manager Bill Mundy said.
Larger, more complex claims from Telstra business customers are expected to flow in next year as the full extent of losses becomes clearer.
Meanwhile, other telcos are fielding calls from clients affected by the outage.
Aussie Broadband’s national sales manager Aaron O’Keeffe said his company was assisting its customers in completing compensation application forms to be forwarded to Telstra.
“They need to get their compensation packs from us, we submit on their behalf and then Telstra pays the money directly to the customer,” he said.
