The “Festive Fare” concert for children is being staged by the 30-piece Warrnambool Symphony Orchestra in the upstairs Lighthouse Studio from 7pm.
It will include short, lively orchestral pieces that showcase the engaging and powerful sound of an orchestra.
Some of the pieces have been popularised on television such as the theme from the Magnificent Seven and the Funeral March of the Marionettes.
Children will also have opportunities to be involved in the performances using percussion instruments and the evening will also include a magic show.
Orchestra spokesman Nick Thies said it staged the children’s concert each year in the lead-up to Christmas to add to the festive season.
It was targeted at children from the age of three upwards.
Children under five years would receive free entry.
The entry fee for those over the age of five is $5, $15 for adults and $35 for families.
