Detective Senior Constable Chris Potter, of the Colac police crime investigation unit, said the youths were arrested and charged after about a dozen cars were broken into overnight Sunday.
He said police were able to recover some of the stolen cash and electronic goods, such as mobile telephones and iPods.
Twelve unlocked vehicles were entered in central and south Colac. The two youths aged between 15 and 17 years have been released on bail to appear in court during March next year.
