CAULFIELD trainer Robert Smerdon collected his $90,000 Mercedes-Benz this week following a dominant performance at the Tabcorp May Racing Carnival.
Smerdon became the first trainer to claim the Callaghans Motors Trainers Bonus, which requires a minimum of four race winners over three days, including a feature.
The trainer finished the carnival with seven winners, including in the Galleywood Hurdle and Brierly Steeplechase, to earn the bonus.
Smerdon collected his Mercedes Benz on Tuesday.
