Robertson surfs through the heats in Sri Lanka

CAPE Bridgewater surfer Adam Robertson has made it through to the final 24 surfers in the SriLankan Airlines Pro - despite breaking a board mid-heat.

Robertson's top form has seen him take a spot in the third round at the Association of Surfing Professionals event at Arugam Bay in Sri Lanka.

In a slighter lower swell of about 1.5 metres, Robertson managed to break during round two but regrouped by getting his backup board and catching two late waves to advance.
