THE first Netball Victoria coaching course of the year will be held in Warrnambool this month.
A development-level accreditation session has been scheduled for next weekend.
Two foundation courses have also been penciled in for February and March.
Netball Victoria’s Western Region liaison officer Marg Morgan said this month’s session was the perfect opportunity for state league coaches to gain a development-level certificate.
She said it was a requirement that senior state league coaches had the accreditation, while junior coaches were encouraged.
The day-long course is also aimed at coaches preparing for local seasons.
“There are coaches who are required to have this level for the state league season,” Morgan said.
“As per Netball Victoria’s policy, coaches of certain levels of competitions are required to have development accreditation for senior grades and also some other grades.”
The development-level course will be held at Warrnambool Netball Stadium next Saturday, January 14.
Registrations are online under the participation, coaching and calendar tabs and close on Monday.
The foundation courses have been scheduled for February 12 and March 4.
