WHILE a full game in the centre after a few months off netball would be daunting for a lot of players, Kate Nelson was not fazed.
The 16-year-old effectively ran out a game in the mid-court position in last week's opening round of Western Regional State League.
After basking in a premiership with Warrnambool City in last year's competition, this year she is lining up for Hampden league.

"It helped a lot but it was still intense."
Hampden takes on Colac and District Football League Netball Association tonight.
While the Bottle Greens drew with Colac FNC in the opening round last week, Colac and District dropped its match to Warrnambool City 42-28.
Kate is looking forward to clashing with her old side in round seven.
"It will be an interesting game," she said. "I was actually supposed to play for them but Hampden asked me to play so I went to them instead.
"I just thought it would be better for me."

"We were up by five goals at quarter-time," Kate recalled.
"Then our passes and our driving to the ball let us down.
"We trained Tuesday night and worked on it."
Coach Kate Lindsey described Kate as a speedy mid-courter who reads the play well. Lindsey was pleased with last week's result . "We got a lot of turn?overs but we were unable to capitalise on them," she said.
"Basic errors like passing and leading let us down but overall I was very happy with their performance considering it was only round one.
"We had four players unavailable so we're looking forward to having a full team back this week."
In other 17 and under matches tonight, Colac FNC and Warrnambool and District Football Netball League are both searching for their first win.
