STAR south-west netball export Samantha Holt could be headed for international rival territory later this year in a bid for English Superleague selection.
The decorated defender plans to join the British 2010-2011 season to extend her string of netball success.
Holt said she was carefully studying the current season in order to nominate for the most suitable side in April.
"It's the middle of the season over there, so they wouldn't be thinking too far a head at the moment," she said.
"But the new season will start in December, so I have a bit of time to think about it."
The 22-year-old has already had an admirable netball career, capped by selection in the Melbourne Phoenix side in its final year of league participation.
More recently she has played for Victoria Fury in the Australian Netball League and Boroondara Genesis in the Victorian Netball League.
Holt said her former Phoenix coach Julie Hoornweg would help pave the way onto the foreign netball courts.
"I have a few contacts over there," Holt explained.
"But my old Phoenix coach used to be the English coach before she came back over here, so she knows a lot of people."
The Co-operative Netball Superleague is made up of the top nine teams from across England, Wales and Scotland.
Holt hopes to slot into a side which is lacking a key defender.
"I haven't figured out where I want to be based yet," she said.
"It will depend on where the vacancies are, but from what I've seen the defenders are pretty awesome.
"I will have to do my research."
Holt was a crucial part of the Warrnambool Football Netball Club's senior premiership side last year and spent much of her junior years playing in Portland.
However, a move to Kiama, in New South Wales and study commitments have forced her out of the time-consuming sport for the time being.
Holt is completing a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) via correspondence with Melbourne University while teaching at Albion Park High School in Kiama.
"I'm not playing any netball this year," she said.
"I am concentrating on finishing my Masters, which includes a term of classroom internship and an online subject.
"But I am maintaining my fitness by running and doing classes."
Holt said raising the funds to go abroad was proving the most difficult in her quest for an international debut.
